Trip to Dallas

We finally got the chance to go see all our Dallas Friends. We stayed with Papa Bill, Tine, and Kimberly. They were so excitied to see you and all we did is sit around and talk about how perfect you were and how much I loved bring a mom. You were 2 and a half months old and everyone loved you. They all thought you looked like a baby doll. It was so nice to go somewhere and have everyone want to love on your. You were such a good girl you just smilied at everyone or you were asleep and looked so peaceful. You did very well in the car again. You just ate right before we left and you slept the whole way. Travling does not even mees up your sleeping at night either. I am such a lucky mommy. Here are some pictures from our trip. You are one loved little girl.

2 Month Birthday

I can not believe you are already 2 months old. You are still growing and getting very big. When we went to the doctor for your 2 month check up they told me you weighed 9lbs and 8oz which is in the 10% for girls your age and you are 22 and 1/2 inches long which is in the 50% of girls your age and your head circumference is 14 and 1/2 inches around which is the 5% of girls your age. You got your first round of shots and you did very well you stopped crying in only 5 minutes. When we got home you did sleep all afternoon.
You are starting to move your head more side to side and holding it up all on your own. You are also starting to smile more at Mommy and Daddy and we will do anything to get you to smile at us. You are sleeping good too. From 10pm to 4am everynight and on 1/6/11 you started sleeping in your own crib all by yourself, but don't worry Mommy has the monitor turned up so loud it is like you are laying in bed with us. Daddy makes fun of me for that.
We love you!

Daddy and Mommy's 6th year Anniversary

Mommy and Daddy have been married for 6 years now and you are almost 2 months old. Aunt Wren came over to babysit you so we could go out for the night. We went to saltgrass steak house and had a good dinner, but we talked about you the whole time and we did not even want to go any where else because we both wanted to come home and spend time with you. We were only gone from you for an hour and a half. We love spending time with you and never want to be away from you. We both love each other and you so much. We promise to always make time for each other so you know that your Mommy and Daddy love each other.

First New Year

You took your first airplane ride for New Years. We went to Denver, Colorado to visit our friends Matt, Christin, Luis, and Marielle. You saw snow for the first time, but we did not go outside because it was negative 6 degrees and I did not want you to get sick. But we had a good time and you slept right through midnight and the new year. I can not believe how different life is with you in it.

First Christmas

Christmas was so much more special with you here. You had so many presents. Nana and Grand Daddy Mark got you your own little rocking chair and a Christmas ornament with your name on it. Aunt Robyn and Uncle Matt got you a singing puppy dog. Gigi and Pops got you a piano play saucer and a rocking horse. Aunt Wren got you your very first bible. We got you a mobile for your crib which you love listening to and following with your eyes. We got you sign laungage movie that we will start watching soon.

On Christmas eve everyone came over to our house and we ate a HUGE lunch together and then we went to the Christmas eve service and then came home and opened presents.

On Christmas Day Aunt Robyn and Uncle Matt and cousins Victoria and Madison went home and so did Nana and Grand Daddy Mark. When we went over to Gigi and Pops with Aunt Wren to open more presents and hang out for Christmas.

You made everything so special this year and I can not image life without you.

1 Month Picture

Happy 1 month birthday!!! You are growing up so fast. Every month I take a picture in the rocking chair with your pink bunny and laying down in your crib. You are starting to hold your head up on your own and you have started sucking your thumb. You weigh 8 lbs and 7 ounces and you are 21 inches long. You have gotten your self on a schedule already and eat at 7, 10, 1, and 4 everyday and sleep all the time when you are not eating. You love taking naps laying on your tummy on Daddy's chest.

First Thanksgiving

Your first Thanksgiving was very nice and quite. We went over to Gigi and Pops house and Aunt Wren was there. We had a nice traditional dinner and just watched movies and took a few naps. We did get some wonderful pictures of the family. Can't wait for you to be able to eat solid food next year. I wonder whet your favorite will be.

Saying Goodbye

With each new life we lose an older one. The circle of life is hard. Today we had to say goodbye to an amazing man, your Great Grandpa Dickey. Having you there made everyone smile. You are each a beautiful baby and so happy and everyone loved you. You sat so quitely through the service exceptionally when Daddy was singing. Thank you for being a wonderful and easy going baby.

Visiting Great Grandpa

The reason you were induced and born early at 38 weeks was so you could go see your Great Grandpa. He was diagnosed with stage four terminal cancer on October 18th. His last wish was to "see Mailyn before he went to meet Jesus." So I talked to the doctor and she said it was safe for you to come 2 weeks before your due date. So on November 19th we drove to Comanche, Texas 5 hours away to visit with your Great Grandpa Dickey and to see Nana for the first time. It was a very sad time because I knew I had to say goodbye and he was so sick he could not hold you but he knew you were there and he loved you so much. Now he is our angel watching down from Heaven with your Great Grandma. We will always remember this special time we got to spend with him. Also while we were there your Aunt Virginia was changing your diaper and your umbilcal cord stump fell off. You are growing up so fast. Great Grandpa would have loved to see it.
